What is MathsKillarney?

MathsKillarney is a two week summer course in Leaving Cert Higher Level Maths to be held in St. Brendan's College, Killarney from July 19th-30th 2021. This course is for students who have completed one year of the Leaving Cert programme and plan to sit the Leaving Certificate exam in June 2022.
The course , which has been in existence for over 20 years, was the brainchild of Mary Rose Felle , an experienced teacher of maths, applied maths and resident of Killarney.  It's original home was in the Brú na Páirce campus.  The course has built up a reputation of excellence which is as a result of the professional level of teaching delivered by an experienced team of teachers. These teachers all have extensive experience of teaching Higher Level Maths, correcting State Exams as well as  having an involvement in the design and delivery of second level mathematics education reform in Ireland.
The course is an opportunity for students of Higher Level Maths to maximise their potential and to be exposed to the whole of the leaving Certificate course which gives a greater understanding of the links between topics in the subject. Students have over the years consistently reported a greater understanding and confidence in Maths after completion of the course.
